About In-A-Box and AHEC

In-A-Box is a program of the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at Oregon Health & Science University.

AHECs are the outreach arms of medical schools throughout the United States.  Five regional centers cover all of Oregon’s counties and are coordinated by a Program Office at OHSU.  Oregon AHEC focuses on health career pathways and sustainable healthcare in Oregon communities across the state, particularly rural and underserved populations.  Oregon’s Area Health Education Centers work closely with healthcare providers and educators to build community, educational and healthcare partnerships that will improve the quality of life of the communities we serve.
